Ollie's Gift

gift for a co-worker.... this is his first child so he is very excited. His son's name is Oliver and will be called Ollie....

Around the sun

Although the picture doesnt show it clearly, this card was created Sepia-colored with a splash of color in the the plane. the inside greeting is stamped "Happy Birthday", embossed in gold glitter. Its hard to find masculine birthday cards so I seem to be creating this theme quite abit lately. I like the clean line/no frills of men cards.

MEMA Tree

I found a Thumbprint Tree on Pinterest this morning and thought "how Cute" and wanted to create one. I made this one from my Pinky fingerprint, the Owls respresent my son & family and the Heart on the tree has "Mema" across it. I think its cute, although my pinky finger is now different colors.....

Happy Birthday_Wetlands

Made a couple of Birthday cards today. I think I like the Green one better than the Blue one.... but then again.....Blue is my favorite color :)  The Green card has green blocks cutout and placed on the white background where as the Blue card has actual cutouts in the white background. the 3 pictures were placed on each card with a small foam strip, raising them abit off the card.

Christmas Wish

Another card from the Polkadoodles Frosted Winter Collection. I added snowflake trinkets to the card.

Feeling of Christmas!

This card resides in the 'Not So Much' card box, but not because I dont like it, its because I run out of people to send cards to lol....

Sending Flurries Your Way!

As much trouble as this card was to cutout, it will reside in the 'Not So Much' card box.

Happy Holidays!

INFO: Toosh-Toosh Designs

I love Toosh-Toosh Designs! I used Tube Pack P34. This card just turned out abit too simple so this one will also reside in the 'Not So Much' card box.

I really wanted to use Tube T96 - Xmas Nana  but couldn't figure out who would appreciate me sending an old granny to them for a Christmas Card so I never made one with her.

HO! HO! HO!

Simple card but cute. I added a Holly trinket to the outside on the wordart.
One of my first cards made but it will be sent and so it  missed the 'Not So Much" card box.

Let It Snow!

Snowman perspective... watching the snow fall......
Shaker card provides the snow falling and envelope insert has snowmen on it...

OLAF!

Who doesn't love Olaf?  isnt' he cute? I found a free design online and created this card from it. No Envelope as this card is too large.

Poinsettia Christmas Card

Poinsettia was cutout using my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine. There is gold foil added to the card for some shine. No envelope for this card as the flower is too big.

Santa Nose

This is another card headed for my 'Not So Much' card box and Santa's Misfit Card department. It's cute but just not exciting enough to be sent to my friends....
The nose and the whole frame is raised off the card abit.
The envelope insert has the blue/white polkadot paper. I didnt get a picture of the envelope.

Santa Suit

Small Card but cute. The buckle is made from sparkly/glitter paper for some shine.

Catching the First Snowflake

INFO: DAISIE Company / Gina Jane

Catching that first Snowflake of the year is always so exciting and this card says it all. It was watercolered and snowflakes added to the card. Bits of confetti were added for the shining/glitter effect. Blue Distressed Ink used around the edges to bring out the cold weather feeling.  Envelope insert shows snowmen ...

Frosted Winter

INFO: Polkadoodles / Octavia Frosted Winter Collection

I love this Frosted Winter Collection from Polkadoodles! This card will go to one of my instructors from work. She lives in Ohio and she is a wonderful person. We have a saying when it gets chaotic at work that we should think "Rainbows, Roses, and Unicorns". I think the Unicorn on this card will bring a smile to her face when she see it. I didnt make an envelope for this card because, as you can see, it is much too large for a normal envelope. I do hope it makes it to her safely once I find a suitable TARDIS for it  :).

Mustache Santa

I am not crazy about this card but I blame it on being one of my first cards made(and no coffee yet) so creative juices weren't flowing much. The mustache and the wordart are raised off the card abit using foam dots. This card will reside in my 'Not So Much' card box and won't be sent out to friends, maybe Santa will have a place for 'Misfit Cards' when he comes around.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland Shaker Card

If I had my way, I would have made ALL my cards into Shaker Cards but, alas, I already had many made before I learned about Shaker Cards. I think they are adorable and it adds alittle excitement to looking at the card. When you shake the card the design (sequins) are always falling different. As always, I make the envelope inserts also.

Christmas Elf Candy Wrapper

INFO: DAISIE / Gina Jane

I made a Hershey Bar Christmas Elf for each of my co-workers for Christmas this yr. Each bar has their name on it. It was extremely difficult NOT eating the candy bars before they were all wrapped *wink* but I knew Santa would be watching.... :)

It's a Boy!

First child for a co-worker, so naturally he is very excited! Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut out the 14 layers and added each to the card carefully. Unexpectedly, it came together quite easily so I was happy. There are rhinestones and tiny pearls added to the card. I also made an easel (not shown) so the card can be displayed, if they wish it to be. It was a heavy card but gorgeous!

Start Your Engines! Birthday Card

This birthday card came from Polkadoodles, the Work & Play Collection 2. I made 2 of these cards and used watercolor pencils to color the driver "Karter" and his go-cart. Karter and cart are raised off the cards using foam dots. The background tire tracks was clipart i had on my computer.

The first card was made for my son and the second one below was for a co-worker and signed by everyone in the office.

Biker Santa Card

Biker Santa
INFO: Janet Briggs

I used the Biker Santa Mini Kit from Janet Briggs and can be bought on CraftsUPrint. I made this pyramage card using glossy Photo Paper so the red would show bright red. There are several layers, as you can see from the Middle to Rightside bottom of card. I also made the easel, although it does not come with the kit. I used the Silhouette Cameo store to find the easel. The card is quite heavy so the easel consists of several layers to add weight so it would hold up the card.

Beary Merry Christmas Shaker Card

My second Shaker Card for the Challenge Week 49. The bear came from a kit made by Amy's Designs "Let It Snow". Of course, it is a 'shaker' card and looks like falling snow in the window when you shake the card.

I also made envelope inserts for all of my cards...

Twas the night before Christmas Shaker Card

Traditional Christmas over at Polkadoodles

This is my 1st post for Polkadoodle's...Their Week 49 Challenge is

Traditional Christmas

So of course I had to make a couple of Shaker Cards.

I love Shaker Cards so this yr I have made several to give to my friends at Christmas. Mr. Mouse came from Kate Hadfield Designs "Night Before Christmas". The Card measures 5x7 and will fit into a store bought colored envelope, which I make inserts for to match the card theme.
